The Western Australian Showjumping Association was formed in 1957 and it was responsible for showjumping commencing in Western Australia.
Over the past years, the association has been instrumental in bringing to W.A many of Australia's top showjumping horses and riders to compete in prestigious events such as the Patrons Cup.
